to announce the addition of Walter Schulz to their esteemed team. Schulz, a seasoned VFX Director with an impressive
portfolio, brings his unparalleled talent and creative vision to further elevate Adrenalizing Media’s industry-leading
capabilities. Schulz’ is a veteran of the VFX industry with decades of experience in blockbuster major films with Oscar
and Emmy winning work including Martin Scorcese’s “Hugo” (Oscar for Best VFX 2011), Game of Thrones’ last season
(Emmy for Best VFX on Episodic).
In his early career, after over a decade of working in diverse CG projects and countless commercials and music videos,
Schulz entered the major-film arena as a Lead CG Artist for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy. A highly technical vfx
artist, Schulz worked as a Creature Developer at ILM for projects including “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” (Oscar
Nomination Best VFX 2011) and “The Avengers”, some of his developments included high-end character rigging,
character dynamics, rigid dynamics and cloth simulations.
Schulz has held titles as Rigging Supervisor and Crowd Department Supervisor by creating digital doubles and crowds
for the above-mentioned award-winning titles, replicating human and animal behavior through the application of
Artificial Intelligence since 2007. He is as versatile on the set, having done major film and episodic work as On-Set VFX
Supervisor.
Recent projects include On-Set Supervision for Roland Emmerich’s “Midway” for which he also handled the NCam
virtual set integration and crowd supervision for the film. Schulz also transitioned into Virtual Production and has now
over 5 years experience as Virtual Stage Supervisor for diverse projects including Intel Studios (Volumetric) and XR
Stage supervision for the very first Siggraph virtual stage keynote in 2021. His latest project was released last week,
where he worked as On-Set VFX Supervisor for the new ShowTime/Paramount+ episodic “The Curse“ for Emma Stone.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks, Schulz has left an indelible mark on
the industry.
