Markus Liedtke, the creator of the NRCity® franchise and head behind Adrenalizing Media, is producing the new album by Tommy Bolan’s band N.Y.C. – release date: Spring 2024

Dortmund entrepreneur Markus Liedtke’s multimedia project NRCity continues to gather pace. After the first comic book from the NRCity universe entitled „NRCity Stories Extreme – A painful birth“ was published in the summer, Markus Liedtke’s Adrenalizing Media GmbH is now producing the new album by the band N.Y.C. with singer and guitarist Tommy Bolan. The Los Angeles-based musician will also be featured on the soundtrack of the first feature film and streaming show from the NRCity universe and can already be seen in the comic as his drawn self in the „Heaven & Hell Bar“.

Tommy Bolan, born in the New York borough of Queens, is best known for his work as an important part of Doro Pesch’s metal band „Warlock“ („Triumph and Agony“). The sales figures of „Triumph & Agony“ were awarded the gold and even the platinum record, and marked the international breakthrough for Doro Pesch and Tommy Bolan as guitarist. He recently performed with Doro Pesch again (Keep it True Festival III, Würzburg), having already been a special guest on her new live Blue Ray and Live edition of „Triumph & Agony“.
The new N.Y.C. album has the working title „Built to Destroy“. It is expected to be released in spring 2024. The musical style can be summarized in a few words: Judas Priest meets AC/DC on „shreddin“ steroids. So it’s going to be wild and loud. Just hearing Tommy Bolan play his guitar is like „an electric shock with 10,000 volts“, was the headline in Decibel magazine when the anniversary edition of „Triumph & Agony“ was inducted into their Hall of Fame. His powerful voice rocks the room almost single-handedly. He is accompanied on the album by Steve Unger, bass (Metal Church) and drummer Stet Howland (Metal Church, WASP).

Immediately after the release, a tour in Europe, America and parts of Asia is planned.

The cooperation between Tommy Bolan and Adrenalizing Media is unique on the German market. „We are a media company that is making the leap into the international market with its NRCity franchise and has already arrived in Hollywood & China,“ says Markus Liedtke, who is accompanying the new album as Executive Producer. „The production of the new album by and with Tommy Bolan is another important step in this direction and as such contributes to the overall NRCity brand.“

The album will be recorded at Deep End Music Studios, Burbank/CA, USA. Kenny Meriedeth (Friends, various soundtracks & videogames, NRCity Universe and co-composer of „Rocky IV“ and „Transformers The Movie“ composer Vince DiCola) is responsible for the recording/mix. Meriedeth and DiCola are also working on the NRCity soundtrack and score. Mastering will be handled by Robert Vosgien, who has been in the business for thirty years (multiple Gold & Platinum) and has worked with the likes of Alice Cooper, Slayer, Black Sabbath and Megadeth.
Tommy Bolan himself is looking forward to the challenge of producing a new album. „I’m a thoroughbred musician and I live for my music, the stage and my fans,“ he says confidently. The American has been part of the NRCity franchise from the very beginning. „I love Markus Liedtke’s passion for music from the 80s and 90s and I’m sure his vision will be a huge success. That’s why I’m part of the team out of conviction and am happy to contribute to the overall project with my music.“ Markus Liedtke promises: „Tommy Bolan will also make an appearance in our franchise.“ So all fans can look forward to both Tommy Bolan’s new album and the first parts of the NRCity franchise, which will be released in cinemas and streamed from 2025.
